Established in 2009, the McGill Pre-Law Society (MPLS) is an ambitious group of McGill undergraduate students who strive to provide helpful information and guidance to fellow students interested in pursuing a career in law. Our mission is to offer invaluable opportunities and services to inform our members about their options within the field of law and to support students as they navigate their undergraduate degree and the law school application process.
The 2014-2015 academic year is of particular excitement. The MPLS will be initiating McGill's first undergraduate mock-trial team, in addition to various events, workshops and student opportunities within the field of law.
The McGill Pre-Law Society is very happy to announce that its Moot Court team won the 11th Annual Osgoode Cup. Competing at Osgoode Hall Law School amongst 92 teams, Juliette Mueller and Scott Harman-Heath placed as the first overall team. This was McGill's first time competing at the Osgoode Cup, and we are very excited for a bright future with all of our talented mooters.
